HOLLAND PARK- BASEMENT CONVERSION

Project Overview

HYB Construction successfully delivered a 400sqm, 10m-deep fully waterproofed basement with an integrated swimming pool for a private client in Holland Park, Kensington. The project required extensive basement construction expertise, precise coordination, and a high standard of structural finish to meet both engineering and architectural specifications.

Scope of Works

Our team managed every stage of the project, including:

• Groundworks: Piling to support the basement walls and slab, full excavation with earth retention measures, and installation of a comprehensive drainage system featuring perimeter land drains and sump pumps to manage groundwater effectively.

• Formwork: Constructed for decking, columns, and walls, ensuring structural accuracy and a smooth, durable concrete finish.

• Steel Fixing: Delivered a fully reinforced concrete structure designed to support both the basement and swimming pool.

• Basement Construction: Included temporary works, dewatering, and pouring waterproof concrete to achieve a robust, watertight structure.
